First outing of the year in the Red FM Division 5 Hurling League was a game that Rovers dominated from start to finish.
Pick of the first half points from Ruairi Cummins, Mark, O’Dwyer, Josh Beausang and a brace from Pierce Cummins playing at wing half back. A fine penalty safe from Ross Walsh kept Rovers on top to lead by 9 and half time.
In a stop start second half, Rovers were able to empty the bench which included debuts for Eoghan Devaney at corner back, as well as Ciaran Sheehan and Shane O’Donovan who contributed 1-3 to the scoreboard between them.
