Premier Junior Hurlers lose out in Semi Final

Unfortunately it wasn’t our day in the Semi Final of the 2022 Premier Junior Hurling Championship against Ballygiblin played in Ballynoe. After a very close encounter, we lost out by 3 points (1-19 – 0-25) after extra time.

We are very proud of the lads, who gave it everything and will no doubt come back stronger in 2023.

A mention must go to Manager Seamus Kennefick, Coach Tommy Ryan, Selectors Eoin Ivers and Ian Smiddy, and the rest of the backroom team who gave enormous effort in preparing the team this year.

There is still plenty of action in the coming months, as we await fixture details on the East Cork Junior C Hurling Championship where we will play Carraig na bhFear, Bride Rovers and St.Catherine’s in the group stage. Best of luck to Manager Chris Scanlon and all involved.

On top of this, our juvenile club, St Colmans are having great success across various age grades, with Under 19 and 15 finals coming up, and hopefully a few more finals ahead too.
